What is Alkaid?
Alkaid is premium 9.5 pH alkaline bottled water — the bottled-water line of Blue Star Pure Water, a family water company in Belleville, New Jersey. We deliver it to homes and offices across northern New Jersey and the New York City metro, and we've been doing water here since 2010.
What's in the bottle
Alkaid is ultra-purified water with minerals added back for taste and electrolytes, bottled at a 9.5 pH. You can get it in 16.9 fl oz and 33.8 fl oz cases, one-litre bottles, and 5-gallon jugs we swap full for your empties. It's the same water our neighbours have been drinking for over a decade — we just made it easy to have delivered.
Alkaid and Blue Star Pure Water
Alkaid Water Co. is the delivery brand of Blue Star Pure Water. Blue Star is the family water company — the New Jersey plant, the trucks, the drivers, and the 4.7-star reputation built up since 2010. Alkaid is how you order that water online and have it carried to your door. Same water, same people; one is the company, the other is the bottle in your hand.
Where the name comes from
Alkaid is the star at the end of the handle of the Big Dipper, in the constellation Ursa Major — one of the points people have used to find their way for a very long time. That's the idea: something clean and dependable, brought right to you, no thinking required.
